A week ago I finished my 12 weeks body makeover challenge. I don’t think I need to say anything about results..it’s pretty obvious… Again, as I mentioned before, my goal was not losing weight, but just to tone up my muscles (I still lost a little weight though..I’ll talk about numbers later in this blog). My overall thoughts on this challenge: I LOVED IT!! I’m not a fan of diets…but that’s the first thing we do when we want to lose weight. We starve ourselves or eating only fruits and salads, but by doing this we are setting ourselves for failure, because diets never last, eventually we go back to our lifestyle, eventually we start to eat what we ate and drink what we drank… And we have results for short period of time.. And it takes a lot of self-discipline to really stick to a strict diet. Or some people take pills and different powders, and maybe that’s fine when those pills are all natural and stuff, but I’m bad with pills, I don’t like to take something that I don’t 100% know what it is, even if it will bring the results. On the other hand this challenge doesn’t require you to starve yourself or take any pills, but you just need to have a desire to change your body and take some actions. I know a lot of people who want to lose weight but they don’t want to take actions. Losing weight or toning up muscles is a hard work, and nothing happens overnight, this is the reality. People have to understand. If you think that you will see results the next day, or that you can eat healthy for a month, get results, go back to old habits and still have a beautiful body, you will be disappointed. I did this challenge for 3 months, and I’m not perfect and I’m not a robot.. I ate ice creams here and there and I drank coke sometimes, I allowed myself eating sandwiches and burgers, pizzas, but it wasn’t every day, and I always got back on track and ate healthy. I did this not because I just couldn’t stick to the plan, I could’ve, but I would’ve been very very unhappy, and once I finished this challenge I would go wild eating junk food. I realized this and I decided that it would be better if once a week I allowed myself to eat and drink whatever I want and not feel bad about it, but the next day to get back on my healthy diet (I like to call it my healthy lifestyle). This way it won’t be hard, and you can do it the whole of your life, your body will get used to it, and you will crave healthy food. I drink coke more rare now than before, just because I don’t want it so often anymore.. and drinks like chocolate shake or malt I can’t even finish now… I crave green smoothies now and I crave water (never thought I would say that)…

About workouts… I’m not a sporty girl, never was and don’t think will be (maybe)… And here I needed more discipline.. I really tried to workout every day.. but then I hurt my foot and for 3 weeks it was no-no for me to exercise, but I workout my abs though, since it doesn’t require being on my feet. And sometimes it’s hard for me to find time for work outs, because I have a newborn and million other things to do. But I try to find at least 15 minutes. And if I wanted to find excuse not to I would’ve..but I choose to be honest with myself and despite of all things that need to be done and all “excuses” I push myself and find time…not every day..but at least 5 days a week. And I know that you might be busy, and I know that you can find excuses not to, but I also know that you can find time for your health and body, and you can do it if you want to… In fact, you can do anything if you want to…

Before vs. After:

Weight: 105.2 lbs or 47.7 kg  – 100 lbs or 45.4 kg

Waist: 27.7 in or 70.5 cm – 25.5 in or 65 cm

Hips: 35.2 in or 80.5 cm – 34.5 in or 87 cm

I wand to say big thank you to Cassey from blogilates.com for putting together such a great meal plan. It was very tasty, very healthy and so easy to recreate.. I know that my challenge finished, but I still use all the recipes… And she spends a lot of effort to prepare great and fun workouts for everyone.. So make sure to check her YT channel, if you haven’t already..

For the first time in my life I have a healthy lifestyle, not that I was very bad about my eating habits, but I always wanted to eat junk food, and I loved coke.. And I didn’t think much about my eating habits, because my body still looked okay (thank to the genetics), but then I realized that it probably won’t be like this forever and I didn’t want to abuse my genetics, but just maintain my body and make it look better. Plus, now I have a child, and I want him to eat healthy, to enjoy homemade food, to like fruit and vegetable, and the way to do it is to make it our family lifestyle and eat healthy regularly, allowing burgers, fries and etc..once in a while and not vice versa…

Thanks for these posts! I found them by looking for the 12 week meal plan reviews. Did you use the one that comes with the fit journal, or the free one on her site? I’m a little afraid if I use the free one I’ll get tired of eating the same thing 3 or 4 days in one week haha. Thanks again!!!

    • Ahahaha I used the free one! But as I mentioned before I wasn’t so rigid about the meal plan! Sometimes I ate something different, but still tried to eat something healthy like fruit or vegetable! So don’t worry about sticking to the plan 100%.. I think it’s possible to stick to it, but if you make yourself do it, then after you done with 12 weeks you will go cray on food that you craved.. That’s why it’s better to allow yourself to eat what you want SOMETIMES (maybe one day a week) and then go back to the plan..

I really want to do this challenge, I know it’s been over a year since it’s been out and anyone has done it but I’m having such a hard time finding the passwords for the 12 weeks! You’re results are absolutely amazing! Do you know if the 12 week meal plan that you used is still on Cassey’s website? If so can you possibly send me the link or passwords?
