This is the second part of my New Year Resolutions. (If you’re into clean eating, fitness, cooking etc. read the first part here :-)). My second resolution for the year of 2016 is getting back to blogging. This time I want to be more serious and thoughtful about it, not that I ever wasn’t..but it seems like I forgot why I was blogging in the first place. I started this blog couple of years ago with the intention to share DIY projects, fashion inspirations, beauty reviews etc, but somewhere along the way I lost that passion and my blog became something more personal, I started to share more family photos and stuff, and even though I’m still planning on sharing family photos and experiences here on my blog and on our family YT channel, I want to get back to sharing recipes, fun projects, fashion inspirations etc. And I’m planning on posting on my blog twice a week. So definitely subscribe, I have many blog post ideas in my mind that I think you guys will like 🙂
As I mentioned in my previous post, I have so many things that I want to accomplish, to learn and to do, it’s hard for me to focus on one thing, and being a multitasker doesn’t help. I start doing several things at the same time, and then I get overwhelmed by the amount of things that need to be done, and it’s just frustrating. So my third resolution is to learn how to focus on one thing. “One thing at a time”. I’ve recently read a good article about it “How to acquire any skill in 20 hours or less” – if you’re curious, definitely read it. Also, to make sure that I stay motivated throughout this year, I subscribed to Darren Hardy’s website, where every day you get an email from him with a daily 5 minutes motivation. Everyone has 5 minutes a day to spare and to get recharged, and if you think you don’t, just stop looking at your FB feed, or Instagram, and yes, Twitter too…!! Actually, that’s what I recently did: I needed to find myself again, my passion, inspiration/motivation, reevaluate what I do in my life and why I do it, so I took a break from all the social media, and I just started asking question and finding answers inside me, until I knew what I wanted…that’s how I got my passion for blogging back. 🙂
But back to the topic, I signed up to Darren Hardy’s daily newsletters, he’s basically like your mentor, who keeps you accountable. I always get inspired after
reading listening to his audio book “The Compound Effect”. And I really like what he says and I find everything he says to be true and useful, so when I saw his Facebook post about his launching of daily motivation blog I immediately subscribed. It’s just 5 minutes a day, but this 5 minutes can probably change your whole day, and give you the energy to keep doing what you’re doing. Let me know if you subscribe and how you like it. I just joined his blog couple of days ago, so I don’t exactly know how everything’s going to work out for me, but I’m excited, can you tell? 🙂
I still have a lot of things that I want to change and do in my life, but again, for now, I just want to focus on these three, and once I’m successful and good at it, I’ll start something new.
I’m sharing my resolutions with you, so that you could keep me accountable 🙂 If you don’t see me posting on my blog regularly, or not delivering what I promised, you call me on it… LOL 🙂 Hey, I think if we could help each other and keep each other accountable, we all will grow and be successful.
