Hi guys!! I’m sorry that I haven’t updated my blog for a week.. I was sick..and I couldn’t do anything.. I was just laying on the couch.. The only thing I had to do was take care of my 5 months old son..and that alone was taking all of my energy.. But now I feel better and I’m back..  I prepared a hair care review for you guys today..

Couple of weeks ago I received cute shower caddy with some goodies in it..and I was so excited to try them out and let you guys know what I think of them.. HASK company was so sweet to send me two of their hair care lines: Keratin Protein Line and Argan Oil line. Each of them includes: shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, and hair oil…oh, and twist band.

Love twist bands!!!

It’s drugstore products, so they are very affordable. You can find them at Walmart, Walgreens, Kmart (see list of retailers here). But packaging is so professionally done, that at first I thought they are high end products.

You can watch my review, if you don’t feel like reading! 🙂

Argan Oil Line is yellow and blue. Keratin Line is pink.

Now, let’s talk about each product.

Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner:

Size: 12 fl.oz each

Description: Known as “liquid gold,” Argan Oil is a precious, time-honored beauty secret in its native Morocco. Loaded with vitamins and antioxidants, Argan Oil from Morocco repairs, strengthens and moisturizes hair, all while taming frizz and adding shine.

Infused with moisturizing Argan Oil, this shampoo and conditioner penetrate the hair shaft, gently cleansing while it repairs damage and breakage, leaving even the most rebellious hair frizz-free, silky-soft and super glossy. It’s no wonder they call Argan Oil the “Miracle Oil”! Ideal for dry, damaged or color-treated hair, this shampoo’s lively scent will also refresh and uplift your senses.

Keratin Protein Shampoo and Conditioner

Size: 12 fl. oz

Description: Keratin revives, restores, calms and strengthens parched, frizzy locks—wiping out the effects of heat, humidity and over-styling and helping your hair look and feel its best. Infused with Hydrolyzed Keratin to reduce frizz and block humidity, this shampoo and conditioner gently cleanse leaving even the most unruly hair soft and revitalized with incredible shine. Ideal for frizzy, dry or color-treated hair.

My thoughts on both lines: I like the smell of Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner a little bit more (even though Keratin Protein shampoo and conditioner smell very good too). It has citrusy smell to it. Both Shampoos clean the hair very well, leaving them squeaky clean and getting rid of all the build-up residue from the products that I usually use like: dry shampoo or volumizing powder. I personally prefer use Hask shampoo and conditioner once a week, when I want to deep wash my hair, since I feel like they also get rid of natural oils on my scalp. I don’t have frizzy hair, my hair is smooth, that’s why I can’t really tell if these products help with frizz, but I do feel like they detangle my hair. It’s easier to brush my hair after I use these products. I also really appreciate that the shampoo and conditioner from both lines are free of sulfates and parabens.

Argan Oil Healing Shine Treatment

Size: 5/8 fl.oz. (18 ml)

Description: Argan Oil is rich in essential fatty acids and penetrates hair to restore shine and provide soft, silky results in dry, damaged hair.

Keratin Protein Smoothing Shine Oil

Size: 5/8 fl.oz. (18 ml)

Description: This lightweight, alcohol-free instantly absorbing Keratin Protein Smoothing Shine oil provides a gorgeous shine with no oily residue. Infused with Hydrolyzed Keratin to smooth and reduce frizz, this oil penetrates hair to leave frizzy, dry hair soft, smooth and incredibly shiny.

My thoughts: I love these oils. I like to put them on both wet and dry hair. I almost always put it on my wet hair. Oil smoothes my hair out and detangles them without making them greasy or oily. I usually take about a dime size of either oil, rub it with my hands and apply it on the ends of my hair.. Sometimes I like to do it on my dry hair as well, especially when I feel like the ends of my hair are too dry. I enjoy using these shine oil treatments.

Argan Oil deep Conditioning Hair Treatment

Size: 1.75 oz (50 g)

Packaging: Pouch

Description:  Hask Argan Oil Intense Deep Conditioning Treatment with Keratin, is a super strengthening, hydrating treatment that will restore and smooth dry, damaged, chemically treated or over processed hair. Argan Oil, unique to Morocco, is known for its high absorbing, penetrating and split end qualities while leaving even the most damaged hair soft and nourished for added moisture. Treat your hair with this nourishing deep conditioning treatment, formulated to bring life back into your luscious looking locks!

Keratin Protein Smooth Deep Conditioner

Description: Hask ® Keratin Protein Smoothing Deep Conditioner is an ultra restorative, moisturizing hair conditioner that leaves all hair types smooth, shiny and frizz free. This special ingredient blend repairs damage, reduces breakage and helps reduce static and drying time. Perfect for over processed and color treated hair.

My thoughts: I didn’t like the packaging so much, because it’s hard to use and squeeze it, I mean it’s not so bad, it’s manageable, but I would just prefer if this mask was in a small jar or something more durable than this pouch. It’s also very thick, thicker than conditioner (well, that’s probably how it’s supposed to be). It’s hard to tell whether I like it or not, because I used each mask only one time. Usually I use hair mask or deep conditioning only once a week.

Hask. also have Macadamia Oil line and Monoi Oil Line

Thank you for your review. I tried the Keratin Protein line (just because I actually don’t like citrus scents so thought Argan isn’t for me. Keratin Protein smells a bit like peaches to me, very nice). My hair gets coarse and frizzy, and I can honestly say this has helped smooth it out. It’s not a miracle worker and hasn’t gotten rid of ALL frizz, but has helped with a lot of it. Perhaps after I’ve used it more I’ll see more results.

    • Thank you for stopping by and commenting! it means a lot to me!!And I’m glad that you see some results! You also might want to try diy masks for frizzy hair, I’ve heard they help a lot..

Thank you for that suggestion, I’ll try that next! Actually this Hask Keratin Protein line is working better for me now than when I first tried it–it seems to improve my hair the more I use it, happy to say! I’d also encourage people to give it a try!

    • You can try, but I think it will weigh your hair down too much, and it can get pretty greasy. But if you have very dry hair, maybe you can apply it to the ends, not touching the roots and it might work.
